YANGU YANGU, is a call to action to get children from infancy to 9 years old to love and respect themselves, be fully aware of who they are, take care of themselves and their environment and thrive in a better Africa.

There have been too many negative narratives spun about us that we need to turn into a story from and about Africa that define and highlight our joy, compassion, great visionaries, and power.

All this happens at YanguYangu which is also a landing space that informs and entertains, supports individual unique creativity, brings out and highlights innate gifts, strongly cultivates and supports self expression and confidence in children.

YanguYangu is a statement of ownership with pride.

YanguYangu is also a safe space for parents who wish to engage with creators in coming up with effective , efficient and fun projects to support them as they raise this new generation.

YanguYangu is also a name for our Mascot. YY is a main character in our upcoming Afro-centred Puppet show. Where music meets dialogue, dance and information in a creative and non invasive space.

At YanguYangu we also prioritize mental health support so we will collaborate with a child psychologist and other professionals in the psychosocial support world to render their services to parents and children.

Food that is locally grown or raised is a topic YanguYangu wishes for children to be immersed in to learn and have deep knowledge of nutritious food, plant medicine and how to grow, prepare and consume sustainably.

YanguYangu is about edutainment, support, collaboration with like minded individuals and organizations who care to utilize their gifts for the betterment of the African child’s quality of life, bringing out their innate gifts, developing compassion, empathy and confidence in them so they can thrive and not just survive.
